Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey league are proud to announce the Week one Stars of the Week to kickoff the 2022-23 season. The First Star goes to Embrun Panthers forward Charlie Belanger. The Second Star went to Perth Blue Wings forward Travis Ouellette and finally the third star was awarded to Brockville Tikis forward Keegan Juchau.

First Star: ’02 Charlie Belanger, Embrun Panthers (7G / 2A)

Belanger, 20, is in his final season with the Embrun panthers after putting up 30 points in 32 games last year. He also had three goals in the five game series against Casselman in the Division Semi-Finals. He exploded this week to kickoff the season by collecting nine points in two games. It all started in the home opener by scoring his first career EOJHL hat trick for five points leading his team to an 8-4 win over Richmond. The next night, Embrun faced off against Alexandria and would score back-to-back hat tricks as he had four goals in an 11-0 blowout win.

Second Star: ’05 Travis Ouellette, Perth Blue Wings (3G / 3A)

Ouellette, 17, is in his first season in the EOJHL after playing two seasons with the U18 Brockville Braves. Ouellette started the season by collecting one goal and two assists in an 7-0 win over Carleton Place. On October 2nd, he collected two goals for his second consecutive three point game as Perth won that game 4-3 over Athens.

Third Star: ’04 Keegan Juchau, Brockville Tikis (3G / 2A)

Juchau, 18, is in his first season with the Brockville Tikis after spending time with the U18 Clarington Toros and put up nine points in 25 games. He is off to a terrific start by scoring in three consecutive games against Carleton Place, Valley and Whitewater. His team went 2-0-1 on the week and collecting five out of six points to start the season.
