RELEASE | Week 10 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announce the week 10 Stars of the Week. The first star goes to Perth Blue Wings forward Lleyton McLean, who had 11 points, second star goes to Tyler Cutts of the Richmond Royals and third star is awarded to Winchester Hawks forward Reese Donnelly.

First Star: ’04 Lleyton McLean, Perth Blue Wings (8G / 3A)

McLean, 18, had one of the most impressive weeks of his EOJHL career by collecting eight goals and three assists in two games. The Perth, Ontario is on a eight game point streak (18G / 8A). He started the week strong by collecting his fourth hat trick of the season in a five-point game, leading his team to a 9-2 win over Athens on December 9th. On December 11th, he set his career in goals in a game with five in a six point game against Valley. Prior to that week, McLean had 22 goals. His 30 goals on the season is first in the EOJHL. He is also third in the league in points.

Second Star: ’03 Tyler Cutts, Richmond Royals (3G / 3A)

Cutts, 19, collects three goals and three assists for six points in three games. He picked up a goal against Ottawa on December 6th and the shootout winner. On December 8th, he added 1G / 1A in a 5-3 win over Char-Lan. He ended the week off with 1G / 2A for three points in a 5-3 win over Winchester. The Kanata, Ontario native has 17 goals, to go along with 16 assists and 33 points in 21 games. It’s his second full season in the EOJHL and spent some time with the Valley Timberwolves before being dealt to Richmond last year. His 33 points is 13th among EOJHL leaders.

Third Star: ’02 Reese Donnelly, Winchester Hawks (3G)

Donnelly, 20 is in his final season in the EOJHL and had an impressive week by scoring three games in two games. He collected two goals against Alexandria in a 6-3 win, and then scores twice in the loss to Richmond. The Orleans, Ontario native has four goals and four assists in 13 games this season. He spent the first month of the season being out of the lineup. In his EOJHL career, he has played with Alexandria and Char-Lan. He has 17 points in 34 career games with the Winchester Hawks in two seasons.
