RELEASE | Week 4 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The EOJHL is proud to announced it’s Week 4 Stars of the Week. First Star goes to Char-Lan forward Cuyler Molinaro, second star is Sean Kearns of the Ottawa West Golden Knights and third stars is awarded to Ben Langille of the Perth Blue Wings. Honorable Mention goes to Arnprior Packers forward Jayden Proulx.

First Star: F Cuyler Molinaro, Char-Lan Rebels (7G / 1A)

Molinaro, 18, collected seven goals and one assist for eight points in three games. Molinaro started off the week by collecting the only two goals against Ottawa West on Thursday. After the loss, Molinaro was able to lead his team to two wins against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians and Richmond Royals. He scored his first EOJHL hat trick on Oct 23rd and then ended the week on a great note by tallying two goals for a three point afternoon on Oct 24th. The Crysler, Ontario native now has nine goals and one assists in seven games. In his first four games with the Rebels, he only tallied two goals prior to having eight points in three games. Molinaro is currently on a three game point streak.

Second Star: F Sean Kearns, Ottawa West Golden Knights (5G / 4A)

Kearns, 20, tallied five goals to go along with four assists in two games. The Ottawa, Ontario native is now tied with Neil Duncan (ARN) for 1st in goals with ten this season. He started off the week by collecting one goal and three assists in a 6-2 victory over Char-Lan on Oct 21st. Kearns then added four goals as he was able to score his second hat trick this season and his third hat trick throughout his EOJHL career. It was a five point effort on Oct 24th against Alexandria in a dominant performance. He currently has a four game point streak and has ten goals and five assists this season.

Third Star: F Ben Langille, Perth Blue Wings (2G / 2A)

Langille, 19, had two goals and two assists for four points in two games. The Stittsville, Ontario native spent time with the Renfrew Timberwolves in the 2019-20 season and tallied 23 goals, to go along with 28 assists in 42 games. After his season in Renfrew, he played with the Perth Blue Wings in developmental scrimmage games last year. This year, he is off to a hot start by collecting six goals and seven assists in eight games. Langille started this week by tally one goal on Oct 22nd against Carleton Place and had one goal and two assists against Westport on Oct 24th. He is currently on a eight game point streak.

Honorable Mention: F Jayden Proulx, Arnprior Packers (1G / 4A)

Proulx, 18, tallied one goal and four assists in two games. The Nepean, Ontario native is in his first full EOJHL season with the Arnprior Packers. He was with Arnprior during developmental scrimmage games last season. Proulx started the week off strong with three assists on Oct 22nd against Athens in a 4-3 win, but would end the week with 1G/1A in a shootout loss to Whitewater on Oct 23rd. He has one goal and five assists in his first nine games to start the season.
