Ottawa, Ontario – The EOJHL is proud to announced it’s Week 6 Stars of the Week. First Star goes to Arnprior forward Jayden Proulx, second star is Curran Gilmour of the Richmond Royals and third star is awarded to Josh Esford of the Char-Lan Rebels. Honorable Mention goes to Athens Aeros forward Connor Manderson.

First Star: F Jayden Proulx, Arnprior Packers (4G / 3A)

Proulx, 19, collected four goals and three assists in three games. He started the week off strong by collect two goals and three points in a shootout loss to Brockville on Nov 3rd. Proulx would then collect 1G/1A against Perth (Nov 5th) and Athens (Nov 7th). The Nepean, Ontario native had a tough start to the season by collecting two assists in seven games, but ever since then, he has been on a roll. In his last eight games, Proulx has six goals and eight assists and is currently on a four game point streak. Four of his six goals this season has came on the power play.

Second Star: D Curran Gilmour, Richmond Royals (3G / 3A)

Gilmour, 19, tallied three goals and three assists in three games. He leads the Royals to a 2-1 week. Gilmour tallied one goal against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians on Nov 2nd in a 6-3 win. He would then have 1G/2A in a loss to Char-Lan but ended the week on a high note by tallying two points against Alexandria on Nov 7th. Gilmour is currently on a four game point streak and has six goals and twelve points in 12 games during his third full season in the EOJHL. In his last full season with the Richmond Royals in 2019-20, he tallied six goals, nine assists and 15 points in 42 games. He is now three points away from setting a new career high in points.

Third Star: D Josh Esford, Char-Lan Rebels (1G / 4A)

Esford, 16, had one goal and four assists in three games. He got wins against Casselman and Char-Lan for a 2-1 week. Esford would tally two assists on Nov 2nd against Casselman in a shootout win, he would then add one assist against Winchester, but would tally two points in a 5-3 win over Richmond on Nov 6th. The Long Sault, Ontario native has two goals, to go along with nine assists and 11 points with Char-Lan in his first full season. Last season, he played with the U18 Cornwall Colts and had two assists in five game in scrimmage play.

Honorable Mention: F Connor Manderson, Athens Aeros (1G / 3A)

Manderson, 20, tallied one goal and three assists in two games. He would tally two assists in a 5-3 win over Westport on Nov 6th, but then added 1G/1A against Arnprior on Nov 7th to extend his point streak to two games. The Kemptville, Ontario native is in his final season in the EOJHL and has six goals, to go along with 10 assists in 11 games. He previously played with the Westport Rideaus for two full seasons. He tallied only five points in developmental scrimmage play last season with Westport in 10 games.
