RELEASE | Week 9 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announced it’s Week 9 Stars of the Week. First star goes to Embrun Panthers goalie Aidan Foley, second star is awarded to Whitewater Kings forward Reid Greer and third star was Ryan Ladouceur of the Whitewater Kings. Perth Blue Wings defenseman Kyle James was named honorable mention.

First Star: G Aidan Foley, Embrun Panthers (1-0, 39 saves, 1 shutout)

Foley, 19, wanted redemption against the Golden Knights and was able to do so in a big way. The Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, QC native made 39 saves for his second shutout of the season on Nov 25th. His first career EOJHL shutout came against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians on October 15th. He is 3-0 in his last three games and has allowed five goals during that time. This season, he is 8-2, to go along with a 1.72 GAA / .948 SV% in 11 games.

Second Star: F Reid Greer, Whitewater Kings (2G / 3A)

Greer, 17, had an outstanding game against Brockville by collecting two goals and three assists in a 8-3 win on November 27th vs Brockville. Greer has four goal and dive assists in his last five games. The Renfrew, Ontario native has eight goals, to go along with three assists in 15 games this season. He played three games with the Valley Timberwolves in developmental scrimmage play last season.

Third Star: F Ryan Ladouceur, Whitewater Kings (2G / 2A)

Ladouceur, 17, extended his point streak to three games on Nov 27th vs Brockville by collecting two goals and two assists for his first four-point game and has his second multi-point game this season. He has four goals and three assists during his point streak. The Stittsville, Ontario native has six goals, to go along with four assists in 19 games.

Honorable Mention: D Kyle James, Perth Blue Wings (2G / 1A)

James, 17, collects one goal and two assists in two games this week which led to wins. James collected 1G/1A on Nov 26th against Carleton Place and had the game winner in the second against the Valley Timberwolves on Nov 28th. He also had great D zone play during the two games. The Almonte, Ontario native is in his first season with perth and has three goals and seven assists in 18 games.
