Renfrew’s Kevin Gould named CCHL2 Executive of the Year

Renfrew, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 is very proud to announce that Renfrew Timber Wolves GM Kevin Gould has been named the CCHL2 Executive of the Year.

Kevin Gould will be awarded with the hardware from a CCHL2 representative in Renfrew tonight. The veteran General Manager was faced with a tough loss at the beginning of the season after the community and team mourned the loss the Alex Paquette and Brandon Hanniman. They also had injuries to Ben Scheunman and Jake MGrimmon who also suffered injuries in the car crash.

The team was faced with a huge loss but were determined to make the playoffs for Paquette and Hanniman as they made moves to sure up their roster. On December 10th they acquired Bailey Hein, Brandon English and Jacob Steege from the Arnprior Packers exchange for a PDF. From that point on, the Timberwolves put together a 12-11-1 record, ultimately making the playoffs.

They were also faced with more adversity after Luca Marinic and Spencer Hill went down with injuries late in the season. They played the rest of the season with a short roster, going 7-6 during that time.
