Ottawa, Ontario – The EOJHL had originally five games on the schedule but Arnprior vs Carleton Place was suspended after nine minutes into the first period due to a family matter. Other games were Casselman vs Ottawa West, Embrun vs Alexandria, Richmond vs Char-Lan and Athens vs Whitewater.
Ottawa West 2, Casselman 1
The Golden Knights pick up their 13th consecutive win by defeating Casselman. These teams will face off five more times during the regular season. Jack Haymes had shorthanded goal in the first and the game winner early in the third. Jordan Provost made 20 saves to go 9-0 in between the pipes. Golden Knights are 14-1 this year.
Nico Pozzebon scores the only goal for Casselman as they go to 8-3-1. The Vikings power play was 0-for-8 while the Golden Knights went 0-for-10. Zachari Racine was terrific by making 30 saves. Shots were 32-21 for Ottawa West.
Embrun 7, Alexandria 1
Juno Gregoire (2G/2A) and Connor MacDonald (4A) each tallied four points while Eric Skyba scores twice. The other goal scorers were Maxime Patenaude and Liam Murdoch. Ryan Primeau also added two assists in the win over Alexandria. Embrun picks up their 10th win this season. Aidan Foley made 35 saves in the win.
Nicolas Corry had Alexandria’s only goal in the loss. Embrun went 3-for-4 on the power play while Alexandria was 1-for-7. Shots were 38-36.
Char-Lan 3, Richmond 1
The Char-Lan Rebels snap their three game losing streak by defeating Richmond. Tyler Branchaud collects 1G/1A while Donovan Francis and Devon St-Jean tallied one goal. Dominic Marquis made his Rebels debut by stopping 19 of 20 shots for his first victory this season.
Noah Dioszeghy had the only Richmond goal in the loss. Shots were 35-20 for Char-Lan.
Whitewater 8, Athens 2
The Whitewater Kings dominate the Athens Aeros in a blowout win. The Kings extend their winning streak to two games. Kosta Kastanois scores twice while Paquin and Fenn tallies 1G/1A. Reinisch tallied 1G/2A for a three-point night and Hayes added two assists. The other goal scorers were Menard and Greer. Issac Wilson made 22 saves in the win.
Rhett Palmer scores twice in the Athens loss. The Aeros have loss four of their last five games. Shots were 37-24 for Whitewater.
Arnprior vs Carleton Place (Suspended)
The game between Arnprior vs Carleton Place has been suspended. Our thoughts and prayers are with Grady Logue’s family and the Carleton Place organization during this difficult time. Carleton Place’s game against the Valley Timberwolves will be postponed to a later date.
