September 29/24 | Richmond, Casselman, Perth, Renfrew, and Carleton Place Sunday winners

 

Ottawa, ON – A busy Sunday saw 10 teams on the ice as the Richmond Royals, Casselman Vikings, Perth Blue Wings, Renfrew Timberwolves, and Carleton Place Jr Canadians claimed victories.

Richmond 7 Ottawa 3

Dylan Rorwick was the difference maker with a wild 6-goal effort, including two shorthanded markers in less than 30 seconds, Connor Platt also added a goal, while Cole King made 20-saves for the win. Ottawa had two goals from Riley Bloom and a single from Cameron MacDonald, while Joshua Hawken made 25-saves in the loss.

 

Casselman 3 Athens 2

Marco McCarthy, Nicolas Elie, and Ben Rochon tallied goals, while Colton Rheaume was strong in net with 31-saves for the win. Athens had goals from Garritt Palmer and a surprising tally from goaltender Dustin Riff who was credited after Casselman scored on their own net on a delayed penalty. Riff also made 42-saves in the losing effort.

 

Perth 5 Winchester 4

Ethan Wooller scored two goals and added a beautiful assist, Brodie Chapman, Connor Janveau, and Nick Spirito added goals as well, while Evan Malherbe made 35-saves for the victory. Winchester had two goals from  Daniel McDowell, while Zach Pereira, and Vincent Dube scored singles. Darryn Russell made 51-saves in the losing effort. 

 

Renfrew 3 Ottawa West 1

Blake Egan, Ryan Hawthorne, and Connor Jackson tallied goals, while Lucas Cardiff-Bilodeau made 42-saves for the win. Ottawa West had their lone goal from Justin Murdoch, while Porter Robertson finished with 20-saves in the loss.

 

Carleton Place 7 Arnprior 0

Gabriel Bergeron scored twice, William McCulligh, Zach LaPier, Truan Conrad, Noah Green, and Jake Begin also tallied goals, while affiliate William Ross had a 21-save shutout.
