Embrun 4, Renfrew 2

Once again, the Embrun Panthers outshot their opponent and tonight they lead the shot count 41-28. This time they were able to win their first of the year. Panthers have outshot their opponents in five of six games this year. Three unanswered goals in the first period put the game out of sight.

Embrun went 2-for-8 on the power play. Connor Drost had two goals while Alex Rossides and Nathan Brown each scored their first goals of the season. Paquette and Hamilton each collected two apples.

McEnery and McIntyre tallied one goal for Renfrew in the loss. Timberwolves have lost two straight games.

Athens 6, Carleton Place 4

Canadians had a 4-1 lead late in the first period but that’s all they got. The Aeros were able to score three goals in the third period after they were down 4-3 coming in. McKenney and Berry each tallied 1G, 2A. Jacob Servage collected two goals plus the GWG. Aeros went 3-for-6 on the power play.

Jake Code added two goals tonight and now has seven goals, two assists in his first seven games. Hill and Nicoll were the other goal scorers in the loss for Carleton Place. Canadians break their two-game winning streak.
