Sunday Recap | Three Games

Ottawa, ON – There were originally four games on the final day of the season but Renfrew vs Athens game was cancelled due to weather conditions. This game will not be rescheduled. Both of these teams will end the season with 43 games played.

F | Ottawa West 6, Richmond 5

The Golden Knights get their 13th comeback win this season. They were trailing 1-0, 4-1, and 5-4. Rockland Nationals U18 call up Luke Haymes scored his first CCHL2 goal including the GWG in the third period. Nolan Marshall and Noah Weatherall each register one goal and one assist in the final game this season. Ottawa West finishes third in the Martin Division and league standings with 60 points.

Ryan Bouley had his second three-point game with two goals and one assist in a tough Richmond loss. Adam Goodfellow scores his 21st of the year and ends the year with 41 points as an 18-year-old.

F | Arnprior 7, Whitewater 4

Chad Cherry and Neil Duncan each tally two goals. Ryan Rivard collects his first four assist game of his CCHL2 career while Dirscoll and Bones had two points, snapping the Packers two game losing streak. They finish 6th in the Richardson Division and 11th in the league.

Tommy Cahill ends his short CCHL2 career with four assists. Kuehl (2 G), Pilon (1 G / 1 A) and Burnette (1 G / 1 A) all had multi-point games in the Kings loss. Whitewater finishes 14th in the league standings and 7th in the Richardson Division.

F | Perth 5, Casselman 0

Last year, the Blue Wings were shutout by Casselman on September 9th 2017 (5-0) (opening day) and October 6th 2017 (10-0). This time Jonathan Peacock made 28 saves for his 3rd shutout this season. Ty Power had his second career hat-trick. His first one came on September 15th against Renfrew last year.

Ryan Bonfield and Matthew O’Brien were the other goal scorers for Perth. Casselman gets shutout by an opponent for the first time since November 24th 2016 and it came against Winchester (3-0). Perth finishes 2nd in the Richardson Division and 5th in the league standings. Casselman finishes 2nd in the Martin Division and in the league.
