Tuesday/Wednesday Recap | Four Games

Ottawa, Ontario – Tuesday night saw three game happening with Casselman on the road against Char-Lan and Ottawa hosting Richmond in the Martin Division. The only game in the Richardson Division was Whitewater vs Carleton Place. Wednesday night also featured the Brockville Tikis taking on the Arnprior Packers.

Tuesday: 

Richmond 6, Ottawa 3

The Richmond Royals were able to snap a 0-5-2 drought and came away with their third win of the season. Leading the way was Luke Richardson, who scored his first career EOJHL hat trick. Wylie Dixon tallied one goal to along with two assists as his point streak goes to two games. The other goal scorers were Shane Sullivan and Curran Gilmour. Ethan Dinsdale was sharp in between the pipes by making 41 saves.

Noel de kemp scores twice and Isaiah Baptiste collects 1G/1A in the OJC loss. Ottawa snaps their two game winning streak.

Char-Lan 4, Casselman 3 (SO)

The Char-Lan Rebels had to overcome adversity throughout this game. They were trailing 2-0 and 3-2, but were able to pick up the victory in a shootout. Tyler Branchaud, who scored the game tying goal late in the third was able to score the shootout winner. Cuyler Molinaro now has 11 goals this season after scoring twice. Josh Esford picked up two assists. Felix Dubeau made 40 saves and stopped all four saves in the shootout.

Samuel Levesque scores his first goal this season while Lankester and Dyer had goals in Casselman’s first shootout loss. The Rebels go to 4-8 while Casselman is 5-1-1. Shots were 43-30 for Casselman.

Carleton Place 3, Whitewater 2 (OT)

Carleton Place were trailing 2-0 until the third period. Justin Greene cut the lead to 2-1 a minute into the third period. Rhys Smetham became the hero by scoring the tying goal with 30 seconds left and then scored 33 seconds in the OT frame to end it. He now has three goals this season. Mitchell made 27 saves in the win.

Sean Tallon and Reid Greer each tally one goal as Whitewater picks up a point. Carleton Place goes to 9-2-1 while Whitewater is 4-5-2 to start the season. Shots were 36-29 for Carleton Place.

Wednesday: Brockville 6, Arnprior 5 (SO)

The Arnprior Packers were down 4-2 and were able to take a 5-4 lead late in the third. Brockville would respond with Cole Dal Bello, who scored the tying goal with under a minute left in regulation. Vincent Busseau (1G) would score the shootout winner and gave Brockville their third win this season. Connor Platt had 1G/1A while Zachary Issacson would collect 1G/2A for a three point night. Nikolas Joniec also scored his first goal this season.

Jayden Proulx collects 2G/1A while Mcgregor had 1G/3A for four points as Arnprior picks up a point. Leggett and Dhun were the other goal scorers. Arnprior also went 2-for-2 on the power play. Shots were 35-27 for Arnprior.
