Ottawa, Ontario – On Tuesday November 8th, Smiths was on the road taking on Carleton Place while OJC was hosting Char-Lan in the Martin Division. The long on Wednesday witnessed the Athens Aeros taking on Brockville.

Tuesday: Char-Lan 6, Ottawa 2

The Rebels were able to score five unanswered goals in the first and never looked back. Nolan MacMillan scores a hat trick in a four point effort while Branchaud, Chenier and Molinaro were the other goal scorers for Char-Lan. Maxime Mayer made 31 saves for his third win this season.

Marion and Lake were the goal scorers in the OJC loss. Shots were 33-30 for OJC.

Tuesday: Smiths Falls 3, Carleton Place 1

Smiths Falls were trailing by one goal during the second period and were able to score three unanswered goals in another win. Sam Beauchamp scores his first goal this season while Denver Craig collects the game winner on the power play. Jack Chiarello scores a shorthanded empty net goal at the end of the third. Matthew Saari made 36 saves. Smiths Falls went 2-for-6 on the man advantage.

Jeremy Schoenborn scores his fourth of the year in the lone goal for Carleton Place. Matthew Maas was solid by making 36 saves. Canadians went 1-for-7 on the power play. Shots were 39-37 for Smiths Falls.

Wednesday: Athens 3, Brockville 1

The Aeros were able to extend their win streak to seven games by collected their second win against Brockville. Jayden Boyer scores twice while Ryan Rutley collects his second of the season in a three point effort. Rylan Donovan made 14 saves for his fifth win.

Spencer Stanutz collects Brockville’s only goal in the loss. Athens outshot Brockville 29-15.
