Ottawa, Ontario – It was the start of Week 5 of the EOJHL season where Embrun was on the road taking on OJC on Tuesday October 25th, Brockville host Whitewater on Wednesday and an entertaining rivalry between Casselman vs Ottawa West which it included over 100 PIM in one night.
Tuesday: Ottawa 4, Embrun 2
Ottawa was trailing 2-1 heading into the third and was able to complete the comeback with three goals. The Canadians went 2-for-5 on the power play. Alex Freshette and Tyler Vezina each collect 1G / 1A. Freshette collects the game winner. Marion and MacPherson also had one goal. Felix Schnell made 31 saves for his fifth win this season.
Belanger and MacDonald were the only goal scorers in the Embrun loss. Shots were equal at 33. Adian Foley made 29 saves.
Wednesday: Brockville 8, Whitewater 2
The Tikis were able to stay on a roll by picking up their sixth win in a blowout win over Whitewater. Spencer Stanutz (2G / 1A), Dominic Bzdyl (2G / 1A) and Tyson Carr (3A) each collected three points. Keegan Juchau scores twice for his second two goal game this season. Bailey Pipe and Markus Grajnar Ptok each collected 1G / 1A for two points. Jason Ferreira made 22 saves for his first win in the EOJHL.
Lynch scores twice in the Whitewater loss. Brockville goes 2-for-7 on the power play while Whitewater goes 1-for-8. Shots were 37-24.
Thursday: Casselman 4, Ottawa West 3
This was just the first of six games throughout the season series and it got physical throughout the entire game. Casselman was able to hang on for a big win. There were two fights in the second with Elie and Peloso with 9:12 left in the second and then the other fight was Baccardax and Peters with 6:27 of the second. There were 108 penalty minutes throughout the night.
Alexis Lafrance collected two goals including the game winner early in the third. Stewart and Bastien also had other Casselman goals. Casselman goes 1-for-9 on the power play while the Golden Knights go 1-for-7. Anthony Tardioli scores twice and Ryanlee Wadden also collected his fifth goal of the season. Zachari Racine makes 27 saves while Jordan Provost made 28 stops. The loss for Ottawa West breaks their five game winning streak. Shots were 32-30.
