Week 10 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The CCHL Tier 2 is proud to announce its Week 10 Stars of the Week.  Nic Seguin gets the first star and Noel de Kemp gets second star for the Ottawa Canadians. The third star is going to Casselman Vikings forward Jason Cossette. Finally, Honorable Mention goes to Tyler Toomey of the Brockville Tikis.

First Star: F Nicolas SeguinOttawa Canadians (4 G / 2 A)

Seguin, 20, is in his final season of CCHL Tier 2 hockey. He collected back-to-back three point games with two goals and one assist against Westport and Winchester this week. He now has 12 points (7 G / 5 A) in his last seven games. The Ottawa, Ontario native tallied 22 goals, 40 points and 62 points in 41 games last year before their playoff run. Right now, he is tied for 3rd in goals (16), 12th in assists (15) and 4th in  points (31).

Second Star: F Noel de Kemp, Ottawa Canadians (7 A)

de Kemp, 18, added seven assists in two games this week. He collected four assists in a 6-2 win over Westport and three assists in a 5-2 win over Winchester. It’s also his first four assist game of the season to go along with his second three assist game of the season. The Ottawa, Ontario native is 15th in goals (11), 2nd in assists (24), and 3rd in points (35).

Third Star: F Jason Cossette, Casselman Vikings (3 G / 1 A)

Cossette, 19, collected his first career hat trick against Alexandria in a 8-4 win last week. It is also his first four point night of his CCHL2 career. The Orleans, Ontario native had 17 goals, 14 assists and 31 points in 42 games. In the 2017-18 season he split time between Char-Lan and Casselman, he had 21 goals, 24 assists and 45 points. He now has 11 goals and 19 points in 16 games to start the season.

Honorable Mention: F Tyler Toomey, Brockville Tikis (2 G / 3 A)

Toomey, 18, extended his point streak to three games by collecting 1 G / 2 A in a 4-1 win over Perth and had 1 G / 1 A in a 5-1 win over Arnprior. He now has a goal in three consecutive games. The Hillsbrough, Ontario native is in his second season with the Tikis after tallying 19 goals, 25 assists and 44 points last season. So far in 21 games, Toomey has 8 goals, 14 assists and 22 points to start the year.
