Week 12 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The CCHL2 is proud to announce Max Bush, Jordan Yaremchuk and Andrew McIntyre as the Week 12 Stars of the Week.

1st Star: ’01 F Max Bush (Ottawa West Golden Knights)

Bush, 16, scored four goals and five assists in two games this week. He collected 1 G / 2 A against Winchester on Thursday, then had his first breakout performance by collecting his first career CCHL2 hat trick in a six-point afternoon against Arnprior. The Ottawa, ON native is now 5th in rookie scoring with 26 points, tied for second with 15 assists and 6th with 11 goals as a rookie.

2nd Star: ’00 G Jordan Yaremchuk (Brockville Tikis)

Yaremchuk, 18, went 2-0 with a 1.00 GAA, .968 SV% and allowed two goals this week against Renfrew and Carleton Place. He made 32 saves on 33 shots against Renfrew in a 5-1 win and stopped 29 of 30 shots against Carleton Place. In four games this year, he is 2-1-1 with 2.98 GAA and .911 save percentage.

3rd Star: ’98 F Andrew McIntyre (Renfrew Timberwolves)

McIntyre, 20, had four goals and one assist in two games this week. He had 2 G / 1 A against Carleton Place in the OT loss then had his second two-goal game against Winchester on Sunday night. He has four two goal games in 25 games. The Cobden, Ontario native leads the league in goals (25), fourth in assists (24) and first in points (49). He is riding on a 10-game point streak.

Honorable Mention: ’98 F Brennan Markell (Char-Lan Rebels)

Markell, 20, notched his second hat trick of the season, including the overtime winner in a four-point night against Arnprior. He has 17 points during his six-game point streak (10 G / 7 A). The Cornwall, Ontario native has 19 goals, 20 assists and 39 points in 22 games this season.
