Week 16 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The CCHL Tier 2 is proud to announce its Week 16 Stars of the Week. Cameron Scott gets the first star for the Arnprior Packers and second star goes to Westport Rideaus forward Blake Kettyle. The third star is going to Ottawa West Golden Knights goaltender William McEvoy. Finally, Honorable Mention goes to Michael Patchell of the Carleton Place Jr Canadians.

First Star: G Cameron Scott, Arnprior Packers (2-0-0, 1.00 GAA / .967 SV%, 1 A)

Scott, 20, is in his final year of junior hockey was terrific in his two starts against Perth and Char-Lan. He picked up his first shutout of the season on January 3rd against Perth by making 28 saves. His second start came against Char-Lan on January 5th and made 31 saves in a 4-2 victory. During his last 10 starts, Scott is 9-0-1, posting a 2.17 GAA / .936 SV% to go along with one shutout and added an assist against Char-Lan in the third. The Franktown, Ontario native is 15-9-1, posting a 3.53 GAA / .908 SV% to go along with one shutout.

Second Star: F Blake Kettyle, Westport Rideaus (2 G / 3 A)

Kettyle, 20, has been tearing it up in his final year in junior hockey. He leads the league in goals (27), assists (35) and in points (62). This week, his team was in action once, which came on January 4th against Athens and tallied his second five-point game of the season (2 G / 3 A). The last time that Kettyle had five points was on October 12th against Alexandria where he scored four goals and added three assists for seven points on the night. The Perth, Ontario native in 18 points away from tying his career high for points in a season.

Third Star: G William McEvoy, Ottawa West Golden Knights (2-0-0, 1.50 GAA / .935 SV%)

McEvoy, 17, has been one of the top goalies in this league and is a Brockville Braves prospect. This week, he collected wins against Richmond (Jan 2nd) and Casselman (Jan 4th). He made 22 saves against Richmond in a 5-1 win and then against Casselman, he made 21 saves on 23 shots for his 13th win this season. The Ottawa, Ontario native has now won 10 consecutive games as a starter. During his last 10 games, he is 10-0, posting a 1.97 GAA / .922 SV%. His winning streak began on October 26th against Whitewater.

Honorable Mention: F Michael Patchell, Carleton Place Jr. Canadians (2 G / 4 A)

Patchell, 17, is in the top 10 in assists (27) and points (38). He scored twice in a 4-2 win over Renfrew on January 4th and then he added four assist in a 7-2 win over Whitewater on January 5th. He has two goals and six assists during his three game point streak. The Stittsville, Ontario native has already played two games with the Carleton Place Canadians at the CCHL Tier 1 level and collected his first goal during his first two games as a call up. He has also score 11 goals this season in CCHL Tier 2.
