Week 18 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce it’s Week 18 Stars of the Week.

First Star: ’98 F Luka Marinic (Renfrew Timberwolves) 

Marinic, 20, netted five goals and two assists in two games, as the Timberwolves went 2-0 and moved to #9 in the Week 18 Power Rankings. Marinic scored a hat-trick against Athens and four-points against Whitewater giving him 14 multi-point games this season. The Renfrew, Ontario native has recorded at least a point in 26 of his 29 games played and currently has 27 goals and 53 points 29 games this season.

Second Star: 01 F Mathieu Parent (Alexandria Glens)

Parent, 17, scored two goals and four assists in two games last week. The Kapuskasing, Ontario native helped the Glens to a perfect 2-0 week, putting up a career high four-points in 9-1 win over Richmond and two points in a victory against Embrun. Parent is currently on a three game point-streak heading into Week 19, and has 10 goals and 31 points in 32 games this season.

Third Star: ’99 F  Yanick Dicaire (Casselman Vikings)

Dicaire, 19, tallied five assists in two Vikings wins last week. He has recorded at least a point in 10 of his 12 games this season after missing all of October and December with an injury. The Embrun, Ontario native has 18 points in 12 games this season.

HM: ’99 G  Cameron Scott (Arnprior Packers)

Scott, 19, made a career high and CCHL2 season high 71 saves on 74 shots in a 3-0 loss against the Brockville Tikis on Wednesday. The Franktown, Ontario native 14-13-2 this season with a 3.98 GAA / .905 SV %.
