Week 21 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The CCHL Tier 2 is proud to announce its Week 21 Stars of the Week. Forward Kyle Kuehni picks up the first star, who plays with the Winchester Hawks. Second star goes to Danny Carroll of the Arnprior Packers and third star goes to Zach Martin of the Renfrew Timberwolves. Anthony Ieradi of the Westport Rideaus picks up Honorable Mention.

First Star: F Kyle Kuehni, Winchester Hawks (3 G / 2 A) 

Kuehni, 20, is in his final season of CCHL2 hockey. He collected his second career hat trick on Tuesday night against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians, leading his team to a 6-2 victory. He collected his first four-point game of the season. His first career CCHL2 hat trick came on November 15th 2017 against the Brockville Tikis. He could cap off a terrific week by collecting one assist against Alexandria. The Stittsville, Ontario has played 36 games this year and has 23 goals, 20 assists and 43 points.

Second Star: F Danny Carroll, Arnprior Packers (2 G / 3 A)

Carroll, 20, collected two goals and three assists in two games this week. He collected one goal and three assists on February 8th in a 6-2 victory over Athens. Carroll would extend his goal/point streak to two games by collecting Arnprior’s only goal in a 3-1 loss on Sunday afternoon (Feb 9th). It’s his first four-point game of his CCHL2 career. The Carp, Ontario native has 9 goals, 23 assists and 32 points in 37 games this season.

Third Star: F Zach Martin, Renfrew Timberwolves (2 G / 2 A)

Martin, 17, is in his rookie season in CCHL2. He collected four points in two games this week, en-route to getting Renfrew three of four points. He had one goal and two assists leading his team to a 6-4 victory on Friday night against Carleton Place (Feb 7th) and then he extends his goal streak to three games by scoring Renfrew’s only goal on Sunday afternoon against Perth. The Pembroke, Ontario native has 14 goals, to go along with 23 assists in 36 games this season.

Honorable Mention: F Anthony Ieradi, Westport Rideaus (3 G)

Ieradi, 18, scores his fourth career hat trick of his CCHL2 career and this season. It’s extends his goal/point streak to two games, leading his team to a 6-2 victory against the Brockville Tikis. He has now have seven three-point games throughout his two year stint with the Westport Rideaus. The Nepean, Ontario native has 28 goals and is now two goals away for 30 goals this season. Ieradi has 45 points in 34 games.
