Week 7 Power-Rankings

  1. Ottawa Canadians (15-1-0) | Last week: 1 | Results: 4-2W vs CPB | It was a close battle against Carleton Place but OJC was able to come up with a bounce back victory on Tuesday night. This week they got Westport, Casselman and Winchester.

 

  1. Casselman Vikings (13-3-0) | Last week: 2 | Results: 4-3W vs RCH, 4-3W at CHR | Casselman competed in some close games and were able to comeback against Richmond and held on against Char-Lan. This proves that the Vikings can hold a one goal lead and can comeback from any deficit.

 

  1. Westport Rideaus (10-4-1) | Last week: 5 | Results: 9-3W vs ARN, 3-2OTW at PER | It was a big week for the Rideaus as they defeated top teams in the Richardson division. They had a blowout win against Arnprior and an overtime win against Perth.

 

  1. Perth Blue Wings (9-3-2) | Last week: 4 | Results: 3-0W vs BRO, 3-2OTL vs WPR | All of the Blue Wings games have been close. Perth shutout Brockville 3-0, recording their first shutout of the season.

 

  1. Arnprior Packers (10-3-2) | Last week: 3 | Results: 9-3L at WPR | Well, they’ve won two of three games against Westport this year but a blowout loss plus goal differential at -1 puts them at #5 this week.

 

  1. Ottawa West Golden Knights (8-5-1) | Last week: 7 | Results: 8-3W vs WHT, 4-0L at ALX, 5-2W at RCH | It’s now three of thirteen games this month and so far, a good start. Won over Whitewater then dominated Alexandria but were shutout for the third consecutive game on the road. They broke that streak by scoring in a 5-2 win in Richmond Sunday afternoon.

 

  1. Char-Lan Rebels (8-6-2) | Last week: 9 | Results: 4-3L vs CAS, 4-1W at CPB | Despite a tough loss against Casselman and an attempt to comeback, they bounced back and were able to beat a great program in Carleton Place. They’ll have three games this week, one at home and two on the road before their week off.

 

  1. Carleton Place Jr. Canadians (10-7-1) | Last week: 6 | Results: 4-2L at OJC, 7-4W vs RCH, 4-1L at CHR | Only one victory over Richmond puts them down this week. Canadians suffered two tough losses against OJC and Sunday against Char-Lan and were outshot.

 

  1. Alexandria Glens (8-6-2) | Last week: 10 | Results: 4-0W vs OW, 5-4SOL vs WIN | The Glens got their second victory over Ottawa West, it wasn’t pretty but got the job done. Then couldn’t hang on to two one goal leads against Winchester.

 

  1. Brockville Tikis (5-4-2) | Last week: 8 | Results: 7-6OTL vs RCH, 3-0 at PER | The Tikis couldn’t keep two leads and allowed seven goals this week against Richmond. They were also shutout for the third time all year. Three games to come against tough teams this upcoming week.

 

  1. Renfrew Timberwolves (7-8-1) | Last week: 11 | Results: 5-2W vs EMB | Their only victory came against Embrun and their only game this week. They only play once for the second consecutive week on Nov 9th against Westport.

 

  1. Athens Aeros (4-8-3) | Last week: 14 | Results: 4-3OTL at WIN, 3-2OTW vs EMB | After a tough month going winless in October, they started November with three out of four points. They almost completed a comeback against Winchester and were able to finish strong, beating Embrun. Both games went to extra time.

 

  1. Winchester Hawks (4-8-2) | Last week: 16 | Results: 4-3OTW vs ATH, 5-4SOW at ALX | Big wins for the Hawks coming in the extra frame against Athens in OT then a shootout in only two rounds against Alexandria.

 

  1. Whitewater Kings (3-7-3) | Last week: 12 | Results: 8-3L at OW | Goaltending was the real issue in the loss against Ottawa West. They will start their three-game home stand on Saturday night. They’ll play five home games and one on the road this month.

 

  1. Embrun Panthers (4-11-2) | Last week: 13 | Results: 5-2L at REN, 3-2OTL at ATH | The Panthers were able to come away with one of four possible points this week. They almost came back against Athens.

 

  1. Richmond Royals (3-13) | Last Week: 15 | Results: 7-6OTW at BRO, 7-4L at CPB, 5-2L vs OW | After a big comeback win over Brockville, Royals were not able to find a grove this week allowing 18 goals. They only have three more games this month.
