Week 7 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The CCHL Tier 2 is happy to announce it’s Week 7 Three Stars of the Week. These awards are chosen by Dante De Caria and Mason Detre.

First Star: Ottawa West Golden Knights ’01 F Justin Jamer (3 G / 4 A)

Jamer, 17, collected his first five-point game of his career on Thursday against Whitewater and scored two goals in Richmond on Sunday. The Ottawa, Ontario native finished the week with seven points in three games. He started the season with the CCHL Tier 1 Navan Grads, scoring two goals in seven contests. This is now his second season with Ottawa West.

Second Star: Alexandria Glens ’99 G Nicolas Rousseau (46 SV SO)

Rousseau, 19, made 46 saves in a 4-0 win over the Ottawa West Golden Knights on Friday, recording his first shutout of the season and third of his career. The North Lancaster, Ontario native has had to make 35 or more saves in four straight starts and holds a 3.63 GAA / .906 SV% this season.

Third Star: Richmond Royals ’01 F Noah Dioszeghy (5G / 1 A)

Dioszeghy, 17, scored his first career hat-trick on Halloween and the overtime winner to defeat Brockville. The next day, he scored two goals against Casselman, finishing the week with six points in four games. The Ottawa, Ontario native has played one game with the CCHL Tier 1 Kemptville 73’s this season.

HM: Westport Rideaus ’99 F Blake Kettyle (3G / 3A)

Kettyle, 19, is coming off Player of the Month honours. On Friday, he scored three goals and three assists against the Arnprior Packers. The Perth, Ontario native has 15 G / 19 A for 34 points in 14 games this season.
