Week 7 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, ON – The CCHL Tier 2 is proud to announce it’s Week Seven Stars of the Week chosen by Mason Detre.

First Star: F James BuckleyArnprior Packers (4 G / 3 A)

Buckley, 19, totaled four goals and three assists – helping the Packers to a 2-1 week. They recorded back-to-back wins against Alexandria and had 3 G / 2 A in two games against them. He now has a five game point streak (4 G / 7 A) to go along with four goals in his last three games. This season, Buckley has collected 11 goals, 11 assists and 22 points in 12 games.

Second Star: F Colin StaceyBrockville Tikis (1 G / 6 A)

Stacey, 17, had a monster game against Richmond on Wednesday October 30th by tallying seven points in Brockville’s only win. He is also a Brockville Braves prospect and has been called up to six games with the CCHL Tier 1 club. Last week, he got his first two CCHL goals while playing against the  Smiths Falls Bears on October 27th. So far this season in CCHL Tier 2 he has 14 goals, 12 assists and 26 points in 13 games.

Third Star: F Jack HaymesOttawa West Golden Knights (2 G / 4 A)

Haymes, 18, collected six points in two games this week against Athens and Westport. His goals came against Westport on Friday where he recorded a three-point night. He is currently on a five game point streak with 2 G / 8 A. So far he has 14 points in just 10 games.

Honorable Mention: F Jordan CurriePerth Blue Wings (7 A)

Currie, 20, tallied seven assists in two games – leading them to two victories over Casselman and Athens. He had three assists against Casselman and then a four assist game against Athens. Last year, he was part of the 2018-19 championship team and was a defenseman. He spent his whole CCHL2 career playing as a defenseman and made the switch to forward before the season started. In 15 games, he has 7 goals, 12 assists and 17 points.
