Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 is proud to announce it’s Week 8 Stars of the Week.

First Star: Ottawa Canadians ’99 F Nicolas Seguin (3 G / 7 A)

Seguin, 19, scored three goals and seven assists for a total of 10 points in three games for the Ottawa Jr. Canadians this past week. OJC went 3-0, playing three-games in four nights. In a 9-0 win over Winchester on Friday – the former Gloucester Ranger netted six points (2G/4A). The Orleans native is currently riding a five-game point-streak and ranks third in points with 33 this year.

Second Star: Athens Aeros ’00 G Mitchell Rukavina (1-0-1, 1 SO, 2 GA / 76 S)

Rukavina, 18, went 1-0-1, stopping 74 of 76 shots against Carleton Place and Alexandria last week. The Stittsville, Ontario native started on Saturday and Sunday, making 50 saves in an overtime loss against the Canadians and notching his first career shutout against Alexandria.

Third Star: Winchester Hawks ’00 F Miguel Pare (3 G / 2 A)

Pare, 18, scored three goals and two assists in an overtime victory over the Whitewater Kings on Saturday night. He completed his first career hat-trick by scoring the OT winner and picked up his first career five-point game. The Rockland, Ontario native now has 18 points in 16 games.

Honorable Mention: Ottawa West Golden Knights ’00 F Michael Gallivan (4 G)

Gallivan, 18, scored four goals as the Golden Knights went 3-0 in Week 8 of the CCHL2 season. Gallivan scored the overtime winner on Friday in Embrun and collected two goals and most importantly the game winning goal against Whitewater on Sunday. The Ottawa, Ontario native is now on a three-game goal streak.
