Ottawa, Ontario – Five teams move up while four teams move down in the CCHL2’s Week 9 Power-Rankings by Dante De Caria and Mason Detre.
- Ottawa Canadians (20-1-0) | Last week: 1 | Results: 8-1W vs OW, 10-3W at ATH | This winning streak has extended to six consecutive games. They went 2-0 after two blowout wins this week.
- Casselman Vikings (14-4-0) | Last week: 2 | Results: 5-1W vs REN, 4-2L at OW | Injury problems are coming into play for Casselman. There only victory came against Renfrew then lost a tight one against Ottawa West.
- Ottawa West Golden Knights (13-6-1) | Last week: 4 | Results: 8-1L at OJC, 9-0W vs ARN, 4-2W vs CAS | The Injury factor is also coming into play for the Golden Knights. After a tough performance against Ottawa, they blowout Arnprior and won their first game against Casselman this year.
- Perth Blue Wings (11-5-2) | Last week: 3 | Results: 4-2L at BRO, 3-1L vs CPB, 4-1W at ALX | Two tough losses from Brockville and Carleton Place. They ended the week with a win against Alexandria.
- Westport Rideaus (12-6-1) | Last week: 6 | Results: 4-3OTW at EMB | The Rideaus had one cancelled against Athens and completed a comeback victory in overtime over Embrun.
- Carleton Place Jr. Canadians (12-8-1) | Last week: 8 | Results: 3-1W at PER, 3-1L vs EMB | Canadians are now 3-0 against Perth this season. CPC also suffered a tough loss against Embrun despite outshooting them.
- Char-Lan Rebels (10-7-2) | Last week: 7 | Results: None | The Rebels didn’t play this week. They have two games this week.
- Arnprior Packers (10-6-2) | Last week: 5 | Results: 9-0L at OW, 5-0L at RCH | The Packers were the first team to be shutout in back-to-back games.
- Brockville Tikis (7-6-3) | Last week: 10 | Results: 4-2W vs BRO, 5-2W at WHT | It was a productive week for Brockville. They defeated Perth in their home barn then went on the road to defeat Whitewater.
- Renfrew Timberwolves (8-10-1) | Last week: 9 | Results: 5-1L at CAS, 4-2L vs WIN | The Timberwolves lost to Casselman on the road then came home to lose again, this time to Winchester.
- Alexandria Glens (8-9-2) | Last week: 11 | Results: 4-1L vs PER | Only one game this week after their game got postponed against Winchester. The Glens have scored one goal in their last three games.
- Embrun Panthers (6-11-4) | Last week: 14 | Results: 3-1W at CPB, 4-3OTL vs WPR | Despite being outshot by Carleton Place, they were able to take the lead in the third. On Sunday, Embrun was leading against Westport but lost it. They got three out of four points this week.
- Winchester Hawks (6-9-2) | Last week: 13 | Results: 4-2W at REN It was a great team win over Renfrew. They are now 3-1-1 in their last five games.
- Athens Aeros (5-9-4) | Last week: 12 | Results: 10-3L vs OJC | It was a tough night overall against Ottawa. They are 2-3 this month.
- Whitewater Kings (3-9-4) | Last week: 15 | Results: 5-2L vs BRO | Once again the Kings can’t seem to find a way to win a single game. Tony Iob will have to wait another game to get his first win as Whitewater’s Head Coach.
- Richmond Royals (4-14) | Last Week: 16 | Results: 5-0W vs ARN | The Royals had equal shots against Arnprior but found a way to have strong Goaltending, defense and offense in their only win.
