Weekend Recap | Nine Games

Ottawa, Ontario – Over the weekend between October 15th to October 16th, their were nine games on the dot with six games in the Richardson Division and three games in the Martin Division.

Saturday: 

Arnprior 10, Valley 4

The Packers continue their offensive scoring but putting up 10 goals against Valley. Reid Greer scores a hat trick while Cuglietta, Klawitter and Bertrand each had four points. Coleman continued his game by putting up three points. Inoue and Verch also had two points with 1G / 1A. Jaden Cholette made 26 saves.

Matt Shulist scores a hat trick for a four point game and and Connor Jackson had three assists in the loss. Carter Ebrahim was the other goal scorer for Valley. Shots were 44-30 for Arnprior.

Embrun 3, Char-Lan 2

The Panthers were able to come away with another win to get them to a 5-0-1 record. Charlie Belanger extends his point streak to six game by recording two goals and three points. Juno Gregoire also did the same as Belanger by recording a goal and three points. He also got the game winner in the second. Cooper Lennon made 32 saves.

Cuyler Molinaro and Hunter Brennan had goals in the Char-Lan loss. Shots were 35-34 for Embrun.

Athens 5, Smiths Falls 3

The Bears comeback from a 3-0 deficit but the Aeros score twice in the third to survive for a win. They’re now 4-3 on the season. Any Botting scores twice and Andrew Sprague collected the game winner. The other goal scorers for Athens were Gray and Boyer. Rylan Donovan made 43 saves in an outstanding performance in between the pipes.

Paquette, Uberti and Lundren had the Jr. Bears goals in the loss. Smiths Falls outshot Athens 46-33.

Brockville 6, Carleton Place 5 (SO)

Nick McLeod collected the shootout winner for Brockville. Jakielaszek scores twice while Juchau and Carr had two assists. Stanutz also added three assists. The other goal scorers were Pipe, Grajnar Ptok and Bzdyl for the Tikis. They extend their winning streak to two games. The Tikis also went 3-for-5 on the power play.

Owen Smetham added two goals for four points while Gavin and MacTavish had 1G / 1A in the loss. Shots were 38-37 for Carleton Place. The Jr. Canadians went 1-for-5 on the man advantage.

Casselman 5, Alexandria 1

Despite being 13 players for Casselman throughout the night, they cruse their way to their second straight win to end the week 2-1. The goal scorers were Pozzebon, Ouimet, McCarthy, Baccardax and Lafrance. Andrew Baccardax scores in back-to-back night. His first goal came against Richmond on Thursday. Lesperance-Spack made 32 stops in the win.

Nicholas Bell was the only goal scorer for Alexandria in the loss. Jason Van Wieren made 50 saves.

Sunday: 

Athens 2, Carleton Place 0

Ben Spicer made 30 saves for his first EOJHL shuout. Andrew Sprague had 1G / 1A while Colby leaver had the other goal. The Aeros ended their week by going 2-1 as the Aeros had to play in three straight days.

Matthew Maas made 46 saves in the loss. Shots were 48-30 for Athens.

Whitewater 9, Valley 1

The Kings collect their second win of the season over Valley. Kosta Kastanias is on a five game point streak by collecting a hat trick. Brendan Lynch leads his team with four points (1G / 3A). The other Kings that had three points were Dawe and Facchini. Luciano. Herrick and mcNally also had a goal. Isaac Wilson made 32 saves.

Jack Shulist had the only Valley goal in the loss. Shots were 41-33 for Whitewater. The Kings went 3-for-6 on the power play.

Arnprior 9, Smiths Falls 3

I’m not sure what it is with these Packers but they seem to keep scoring a ton in another victory over Smiths Falls. Arnprior is averaging 7.85 goals per game to start the season. Greer scores twice while Mcgregor, Coleman and Doyle each tallied three points. Ryan Rivard was named player of the game on Arnprior’s social media by getting his first of the season.

Jack Paquette scores for the second straight game while Parker and Williamson each collect 1G / 1A for Smiths Falls. The Jr. bears outshot the Packers 31-24. Arnprior goes 1-for-2 on the power play.

Richmond 8, Alexandria 4

The Royals ended their two game losing streak by picking up their 4th win of the year. Robbie Disilvestro collected a hat trick while Russett and McCarthy had three points. Genereux, Carulli and Miller were the other goal scorers. Rorwick added two assists. The Royal went 2-for-9 on the power play.

Nicholas Bell extended his point streak to four games by collecting 1G / 2A. Major and Repaci also scored for Alexandria. The Glens go 1-for-5 on the power play.
