Weekend Recap | Seven Games

Ottawa, ON – There were a total of seven games throughout the weekend. Four games on Saturday and three games on Sunday.

Saturday

F | Whitewater 5, Athens 1

It was the first of a home-and-home between the two. Dylan Kuehl tallied 2G / 1A in a three point performance and Tommy Cahill added 1G / 1A. Proulx makes 24 saves in the win.

Aiden Bailey would score his second goal of the season in the Aeros only goal. The last time he collected a goal was on October 24th, 2018 against Brockville.

F | Casselman 4, Westport 3

It was the only game that Casselman played this week while Westport was coming off a loss against Brockville. Shawn Patterson scores twice including the GWG in the second frame. Hunt added three assists while Dicaire had two helpers in the win.

Hugh McHugh scored twice for the second time this season in the Rideaus loss. Westport has lost two straight games while the Vikings winning streak extends to two games.

F/OT | Carleton Place 4, Char-Lan 3

The Rebels had full control with a 3-1 lead until the third period. Browne tied the game with under a minute left then Hawkins would score the OT Winner. Lightfoot had an assist on the final three Carleton Place goals before overtime.

Reifler and Markell each added 1G / 1A and Donnolly registered one goals for Char-Lan. They’ve now lost four consecutive games.

F | Renfrew 5, Alexandria 4

The Timberwolves were coming off a blowout loss to Perth on Friday and bounced back in a big way. Brad Richardson collects four goals while McIntyre had 1G / 3A in a four-point night. Richardson has nine goals and one assist since being acquired.

Parent and Odjick each tally 1G / 1A in  the Glens loss. Timberwolves’ outshot Alexandria 56-39. Nadeau made 51 saves in the loss.

Sunday

F | Richmond 5, Embrun 2

The Royals snapped their five game losing-streak coming off big performances from Dioszeghy and Bouley who collect 1G / 2A. Both of them extends their point streak to two games.

Martin and Cyr each had one goal plus a helper in the Panthers loss. Embrun’s three game winning streak comes to an end.

F | Alexandria 3, Perth 0

Before the game, there was a power outage and the game was delayed until 4:30pm. The Glens were able to bounce after back-to-back losses to OJC and Renfrew. They would score one goal in each period in this game.

Sylvain Gravel collects his first CCHL2 goal plus the GWG. Sauve and Gibeault had the Glens goals. Nicholas Rousseau makes 37 saves for his third shutout this season. Alexandria went 1-2 on the weekend.

F | Whitewater 9, Athens 3

The Kings picked up where they left off on Saturday and dominated Athens throughout the game including the third period. They outshot Athens 29-8 in the final frame. Dylan Kuehl continued his hot streak by tallying his first career four goal game and had five points throughout the night.

Shiman (2G / 1A) and Levasseur (1G / 2A) each collect three point nights. Flanagan, Cahill and Cybulski each register two points in the Kings win. They extend their winning streak to three games while Athens losing streak is at three games.
