Weekend Recap | Ten Games

Ottawa, Ontario – There were a total of ten gamed during the weekend between Saturday December 10th to Sunday December 11th, which featured four games in the Martin Division and six games in the Richardson Division.

Saturday: 

Winchester 6, Alexandria 3

Reese Donnelly and Kyle Filion lead the way two goals in a win over Alexandria on the road. Mathieu Beauchemin and Nicolas Corry also collected one goal. Landry, Shin and Batista each had two assists. Bryce Kijewski made 39 saves for his third win of the season.

Major, De Sanctis and Donovan Francis had goals for Alexandria. The shots were 42-35 for Alexandria and both teams went 1-for-5 on the power play. Jason Van Wieran made 29 saves.

Arnprior 9, Valley 0

Eight different Packers had goals in a blowout win. The only player that had two goals for Arnprior was Sam Klawitter, who had three points on the night. Ryan, Anas, Verch, Rampton, Coleman, Greer ad Cuglietta were the goal scorers. Jayden Proulx got on the scoresheet with three assists while Inoue and McGregor tally two assists. Jaden Cholette makes 20 saves for his second shutout of the season.

Kaleb Either made 25 saves in two periods and Ethan Schwarz made all 15 saves in the final frame. Shots were 49-20 for Arnprior.

Carleton Place 10, Whitewater 1

Ethan MacTavish collects the hat trick in a four point effort as his Jr. Canadians collects a win on the road in a blowout. It was his second consecutive hat trick. Call up Owen Goodwin collects two goals and five points in his second game with the club. Chris Clarke scores twice for three points while Hay, Schoenborn and Kennedy were the other goal scorers. Ty Ferguson makes 22 saves for his fourth win.

Patrick Holmes had the Kings lone goal in the third. Shots were 46-23 for Carleton Place.

Athens 6, Smiths Falls 2

The Aeros were able to bounce after being blown out by Perth. Ben Langille scores twice while Viau, Ruyley, Cyr and Stafford had the other goals for Athens. Sprague, Dixon and Cory all had two assists. Rylan Donovan made 22 saves in the win. Athens goes 1-for-2 on the power play while Smiths Falls went 1-for-3.

Paquette and Yablonski were the goal scorers in the Smiths Falls loss. Shots were even at 24.

Richmond 5, Char-Lan 3

The Richmond Royals were able to score twice in the third with under four minutes left to secure the win. Curran Gilmore and Gage Bujold each collect their first goal of the season. Justin Williams had his third goal. Jaidon Genereux and Tyler Cutts each collect 1G / 1A for two points. Mavric Welk made 38 saves for his third win this season. Richmond goes 3-for-6 on the man advantage.

Racine, Branchaud and Brennan had goals for the Rebels. They went 1-for-7 on the power play. Maxime Mayer made 32 saves. Shots were 41-37 for Char-Lan.

Sunday: 

Smiths Falls 3, Carleton Place 0

Matthew Saari makes 22 saves for his second shutout of the season. Jack Paquette extended his point streak to six games by collecting the game winner in the first period. He also had two points. The other goal scorers for Smiths Falls were Aidan Conroy and Kenny Lundren.

Matthew Maas made 33 saves in the loss. Shots were 36-22 for Smiths Falls. The Canadians were 0-for-6 on the power play while Smiths Falls is 0-for-4.

Perth 7, Valley 2

It was one of the best games that Lleyton McLean has played during the season. He collected his first five goal game for a six point effort. That big game gave him the Week 10 first star of the week. Woolsey and Wright each tallied one goal. Travis Ouellette was on the scoresheet with three assists. James Cole made 38 saves for his sixth win this season. Perth goes 2-for-3 on the power play.

Jack Shulist and Lucas Smith were the goal scorers in the Valley loss. Valley outshot Perth 40-33.

Athens 13, Whitewater 2

It was an offensive onslaught as Athens blowout Whitewater by eleven goals. The biggest story is Ben Langille adding a hat trick and two assists for five points, but later that day, Langille played in the NCJHL with the Westport Rideaus and had a hat trick in a 7-4 win over Hull-Volant. Sprague, Viau, Boyer and Trueman got on the scoresheets with three points. The other goal scorers were Lamb, Seed, Dixon and Botting. Ben Spicer made 24 saves.

Holmes and Lavineway were the goal scorers in the loss. Athens goes 4-for-6 on the power play and outshot Whitewater 54-26.

Embrun 6, Ottawa West 1

Juno Gregoire leads the way by collecting the hat trick in the first period and Embrun never looked back. Maxime Paquette also scored during a four goal period. Connor MacDonald and Ethan Queale had goals in the third. Patenaude had three assists while Belanger and Carisse added two assists. Aidan Foley made 31 saves in the win. Embrun goes 1-for-5 on the power play.

Adam Cater had the Golden Knights only goal in the loss. Shots were 39-32 for Embrun.

Richmond 5, Winchester 3

The Richmond Royals score three unanswered goals in the last five minutes in the third frame. Cole Haughton’s first EOJHL goal was the game winner. Tyler Cutts had 1G / 2A for three points and Lyons had 1G / 1A. The other goal scorers for Richmond were Jaidon Genereux and Jackson Dallaire. The Royals outshot Winchester 25-19.

Holmes, Donnelly and Labrosse had goals for Winchester in the loss.
