Ottawa, Ontario – Arnprior, Ottawa, Perth, Carleton Place and Ottawa West were able to pickup some key wins during an entertaining week in the EOJHL.

Monday: Arnprior 6, Brockville 2

The Packers have now won three consecutive games as they win their ninth victory of the season. Neil Duncan and Jake Duhn each tally two goals while Pilon and Carulli were the other goal scorers for Arnprior. Jett Miller makes 28 saves for his third consecutive victory and goes to 7-3-3 in between the pipes. Shots were 30-28 for the Packers.

Busseau and Kassengaliyev had one goal in the Brockville loss. They go to 3-4-1 to start the season.

Tuesday: Ottawa 3, Winchester 2 (SO)

It was a very even game between these two teams as OJC was able to survive and win in a shootout. Giuseppe Marino scores the shootout winner. Ric Shin had the only shootout goal for Winchester and Noel de kemp for OJC. Cote and Papineau each tally one goal. Connor Baillie made 32 saves in the win.

Xavier Dusablon also turned in a great performance in net by making 42 saves. Messervey and Houle each collect their first goals with Winchester as they pick up a point. Shots were 45-34 for Ottawa. Ottawa went 1-for-9 on the power play.

Wednesday: Perth 3, Brockville 0

Matthew Maas made 29 saves for his first shutout this season. The line of Ben Langille (2G/1A), Ben Anderson (1G/1A) and Brayden Davidson (3A) each combined for 8 points throughout the night. Kyle James added one assist on the backend. Perth is now 9-2-1 this season.

Brockville gets shutout by an opponent for the first time this season. Zach MacDonald made 33 saves for Brockville. Shots were 36-29 for Perth.

Thursday: 

Carleton Place 5, Whitewater 0 

Carleton Place extends their winning streak to five games as they score all five goals in the third over Whitewater. Hunter Neil scores two goals for a three point night while Swyer (1G/1A), Smetham (2A) and Bouwer (2A) each collect two points. The other goal scorers were Sean Ireland and Grady Logue. Jackson Pundyk made 21 saves for his first EOJHL shutout. Carleton Place goes 1-for-4 on the power play.

It’s the third consecutive game that Whitewater hasn’t scored. Shots were 28-21 for Carleton Place.

Ottawa West 5, Char-Lan 4 (SO)

This game was entertaining since the start. Ottawa West was able to prevail to win in a shootout and win their 10th consecutive game. Sam Brown scores two goals for three points while Kearns and Haw each collect one goal. Char-Lan had Spinner and MacMillian score in the first two periods. U18 Cornwall Colts forward Jacob Knickle scores twice in the third to give Char-Lan a point.

The shootout would take until round 9 where Troccoli-Roik gets the winner after missing a penalty shot in the extra frame. The other shootout goals for Ottawa West were Kearns, Haw and McFarlane. Char-Lan had St-Jean, MacMillian and Chenier with shootout goals. Jordan Provost made 22 saves and goes 7-0 to start the season. Ottawa West was 2-for-6 on the power play while the Rebels went 1-for-3.
