Ottawa, Ontario – During Week 3 of the EOJHL season, the Ottawa Jr. Canadians hosted Winchester on Tuesday in the only game. On Wednesday, their were two Richardson Division matchups with Arnprior playing Westport and Brockville hosting against Valley. Finally, Ottawa West hosted Alexandria in the only EOJHL game on Thursday.

Tuesday: Winchester 3, Ottawa 1

The Winchester Hawks came out to play against Ottawa, as they were able to outshot Ottawa 23-20 in the first two periods. Ric Shin scores his first two goals as a member of Winchester and assisting on two of his goals were Nathan Lassenba and Kyle Filion. Shane Moodie also scored his third goal this season to extend the lead to 3-0. In the third, Ottawa outshot Winchester 17-4 and Xavier Dusablon made 16 saves in the final frame.

In total, Dusablon made 36 saves for his first win with Winchester. Marin had OJC’s only goal in the third as the Jr. Canadians go to 1-4 to start the season. Winchester goes to 1-1.

Wednesday: Brockville 5, Valley 2

Leading the way for the Tikis was Ethan Woolsey by scoring two goals and an apple for his first three point game of his EOJHL career. Platt and Chiarello also added 1G/1A. It’s Brockville’s first win of the season and go to 1-2-1. Zach MacDonald made 20 saves. Shots were 38-22 in favour of Brockville.

Kuehl and Dawe each tally one goal for Valley in the loss. It extends it’s losing streak to 0-4-1 to start the year.

Wednesday: Arnprior 5, Westport 2

Arnprior picks up their four win and Neil Duncan leads the way with a hat trick for a four point night. Tammadge and Cuglietta were the other goal scorers for Arnprior. Brayden Prince made his second start of the season and made 24 saves. The Packers also score two out of the five goals on the power play.

Meekin and McCulloch each scored for Westport in the loss. SHots were 29-26 in favour of Arnprior. The Rideaus go to 2-2.

Thursday: Ottawa West 10, Alexandria 2

It was a dominating performance by the Ottawa West Golden Knights for 60 minutes as they pick up their 4th win this season. Keon Trocolli-Roik collects his first EOJHL regular season hat trick. The last time Trocolli-Roik had a hat trick was during developmental scrimmage play against Richmond on March 14th. Bush, McFarlane and Haymes each tally three assists while Haw, Tardioli and Kearns collected two goals. Josh McMaster gets his first win with Ottawa West.

Ottawa West went 2-for-8 on the man adavDe Sanctis and Parent were the only goal scorers for Alexandria. The Glens go to 1-3 to start the season.

Following the conclusion of the games on Saturday, will recap Friday and Saturday night games.
