Casselman takes game one, Perth leads series 2-0

Ottawa, Ontario – Casselman Vikings defeated the Ottawa Canadians in game one, and the Perth Blue Wings took a 2-0 series lead.

Evan Landry and Brady Cloutier gave the Vikings the 2-0, which they held onto after a late comeback by the Canadians in the third. Nicholas Campbell made 32-saves for his fourth playoff win. Casselman was just outshot 33-30 in the win.

Nicolas Seguin had Ottawa’s only goal. They went 1-3 on the power-play, and allowed two power-play goals against. Canadians lose their first game of the playoffs. Game 2 goes in Casselman Thursday night at 7:30.

Blue Wings take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Ty power leads the way with 1G / 3A in a four-point night, Miller and Bonfield each register 1G / 1A and Corey Symington scored his sixth of the playoffs. Peacock made 26-saves in the win.

James Lister had the only goal for Carleton Place. Game 3 goes Friday in Perth.
