Morning Recap | Casselman and Winchester pick up wins on Tuesday

Ottawa, Ontario – Only two games happened on Tuesday night, which featured the Casselman Vikings against Ottawa Jr. Canadians and the Winchester Hawks were on the road to take on the Char-Lan Rebels.

Casselman 7, Ottawa 2

This was Casselman’s second win against the Ottawa Jr. Canadian this year and it was a dominating performance. Francois Drouin picked up his second hat trick of the season and added an assist. Shawn Patterson also collected 1 G / 3 A and Fournier was on the scoresheet with three assists. The Vikings are 2-2 to start 2020.

Mason Carter collected his first CCHL2 goal and WIll Fitzsimmons tallied his ninth of the season in the OJC loss. The Canadians have now loss three of their last four games. Shots were 37-21 for Casselman

Winchester 5, Char-Lan 3

It was an important game because both of these teams are battling for the 5th and final playoff spot in the Martin Division. Kyle Fleming. Kyle Green and Eric Vitale each contributed on the scoresheet by collecting 1 G / 1 A. Noah Fraser scores his first CCHL2 goal as a Hawk and Kuehni’s 16th goal this season turned out to be the game winner.

Winchester is 2-1 to start 2020 and Lucas Devries makes 41 saves for his 8th win. Matthew Varnovitski scores twice while Isaac Testani continues to stay hot with one goal in the game. Char-Lan has loss two consecutive games.
