PLAYOFF RECAP | Arnprior scores four goals in the third to defeat Renfrew and advance to the next round

Ottawa, Ontario – The Renfrew Timberwolves hosted the Arnprior Packers for a deciding Game 3 inside the Ma-te-Way Activity Center on Friday night and Arnprior was able to move on after an explosive third period.

Arnprior 5, Renfrew 3

The game tied at one heading to the third period and Arnprior scores three unanswered goals in the first five minutes into the third period from Scissons, Duncan and Gillingham. Renfrew called a timeout and were able to cut the deficit 4-3 with goals from Fleming and Stewart.

Connor Folton would take an interference penalty with under two minutes left. Joel Driscoll would score on the empty net to seal the series. Arnprior will play the Westport Rideaus tomorrow afternoon inside the Westport Community Arena.

Jared Campitelli had the games first goal and ended the series with two goals. Church and Nicholson would each tally two points while Zach Moran had 1G / 1A. Cameron Scott was terrific in between the pipes by making 33 saves.

The Renfrew Timberwolves season comes to an end and Renfrew will become a CCHL Tier 1 team for the 2020-21 season. Players that are graduating and played in their last games were Connor Fulton, Michael Hubers, Zach Moran and Ethan Lapenskie. Congratulations on great hockey careers.
