Ottawa, ON – There were two games on Tuesday night featuring Char-Lan vs Ottawa at the Earl Armstrong Arena while Carleton Place hosted the Whitewater Kings. Wednesday night, the Tikis took on the Winchester Hawks at the BMC.
Tuesday
Ottawa 2, Char-Lan 0
The only two goals were scored by Thomas Freel. He scored on the power play and on even strength. Freel has 18 goals and 45 points in 32 games. Conor Corrigan made 24 saves for his second career CCHL2 shutout and goes to 10-0 this year.
Julien Cholette made 36 saves in the Rebels loss. They’ve now lost five straight while Ottawa extends their winning streak to five games.
Carleton Place 3, Whitewater 2
The Canadians had a 2-0 lead but Whitewater battled back to tie it. In regulation, Code was able to pick up the GWG on the power play. He has three GWG this year. Lightfoot added two assists in a two point effort.
Kuehl and Vanhoof had the only goals for the Kings. Cahill also collects two assists. Whitewater snaps their three game winning streak while Carleton Place has won two consecutive one goal victories to start 2019.
Wednesday
F/SO | Brockville 6, Winchester 5
It was a high scoring contest between these two clubs. Hunter and Caza each tally two goals while Toomey and Wuth added two assists. Fine-Lease also collects three assists and Glazer’ extends his point streak to two games with 1G / 1A.
Gallagher scores the shootout winner. Hawks forward Danny Johnson had 2G / 1A in a three-point performance. The Tikis have won four consecutive games heading to Thursday.
