Athens Aeros’ Michael ‘Bundy’ Seed Named 2024-25 EOJHL Coach of the Year

 

OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is thrilled to announce that Michael “Bundy” Seed of the Athens Aeros has been named the 2024-25 EOJHL Coach of the Year. This prestigious recognition celebrates Bundy’s remarkable leadership and exceptional coaching throughout the season.

This year marks a monumental milestone for Bundy, as he celebrated 30 years of dedicated service to the EOJHL. Under his expert guidance, the Athens Aeros enjoyed an outstanding campaign, finishing with a record of 26-19-2-1. The team is now poised to begin its first-round playoff series against the Richmond Royals this weekend, marking the start of what promises to be an exciting postseason.

Bundy’s leadership has been pivotal in Athens’ impressive growth over the past year. The Aeros significantly improved across virtually every statistical category, demonstrating the effectiveness of Bundy’s coaching strategies. Most notably, the team saw a remarkable increase in victories, securing 9 more wins than the previous season. Athens also achieved a dramatic turnaround in their goal differential, improving from a -25 margin in 2023 to a robust +31 this year. This remarkable turnaround is a testament to Bundy’s ability to develop and motivate his players, fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the ice.
