RELEASE | EOJHL Announces 2022-23 Richardson Division All Stars

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announce the 2022-23 Richardson Division All Stars.

Forward: ’02 Nolan McGregor (Arnprior Packers)

McGregor, 20, has spent the majority of his career in the CCHL2/EOJHL level. The Braeside, Ontario native had a record setting season by collecting 43 goals, 58 assists and 103 points in 38 games. In his EOJHL career, he has 80 goals, 114 assists and 194 points in 111 games.

Forward: ’04 Lleyton McLean (Perth Blue Wings)

McLean, 18, is in his first season in the EOJHL after spending time with the Smiths Falls Bears in the CCHL last season. He becomes the first player to score over 50 goals since the 2015-16 season with Sebastien Plante (55) and Scott Conroy (50). This season, McLean had 51 goals, 41 assists and 92 points in 39 games.

Forward: ’02 Andrew Sprague (Athens Aeros)

Sprague, 20, has spent the last two seasons with Athens and had a terrific final year. The Kingston, Ontario native had 33 goals, 52 assists and 85 points in 39 games. During his career in the EOJHL, he had 69 goals, 96 assists and 165 points in 88 games.

Defense: ’03 Reid Trueman (Athens Aeros)

Trueman, 20, has spent this season and last season with Athens after playing with the U18 Quinte Red Devils in 2019-20. The Kingston, Ontario native had eight goals, 31 assists and 39 points in all 42 games. He was the leading points leader as a defenseman throughout the season and was tied for first in assists.

Defense: ’02 Jacob Bertrand (Arnprior Packers)

Bertrand, 20, the last time he played in EOJHL/CCHL2 hockey was in the 2019-20 with the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians. He became one of the top defenseman’s throughout the season by collecting seven goals, 29 assists and 36 points in 32 games. The Almonte, Ontario native was tied for second among defenseman’s in points.

Goalie: ’03 Brady McEwan (Perth Blue Wings)

McEwan, 20, had a breakout year with the Perth Blue Wings this year. He went 24-4 in 28 games this season and recorded six shutouts which sets a new EOJHL record. He surpasses Ryan Whitehurst (OJC, 2018-19) and Matt Couvrette (OJC, 2012-13) who each had five shutouts in a season. McEwan recorded a 2.03 GAA / .943 SV%.

Coach: Mike Seed (Athens Aeros)

Seed, has been coaching for Athens since last season and has got the team into the post season in the last two years. Seed and his Aeros finished in 4th in the Richardson Division with a 26-15-2 record and 53 points.

GM: Mavric Parks (Arnprior Packers)

Parks, had a tremendous putting this stacked Arnprior Packers squad together. Him and his Packers finished second in the Richardson Division with a 37-5 record for 74 points.
