RELEASE | Week 7 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey league is proud to announces its Week 7 stars of the week. The first star goes to Smiths Falls defenseman Jack Paquette by delivering nine points, second star is awarded to Arnprior Packers forward Nolan McGregor and third star is Tyler Cutts of the Richmond Royals.

First Star: ’06 Jack Paquette, Smiths Falls Jr. Bears (3G / 5A)

Paquette, 16, had an amazing week by collecting three goals and five assists in two games. The Nepean, Ontario native sits second in rookie defenseman scoring right behind Tyson Carr, who has 14 points. He started the week off string by collecting four assists in a 9-1 win over Whitewater. Paquette would collect his first career EOJHL hat trick against the Valley Timberwolves on November 13th in a four point game. The Jr. bears would go on to win 8-2 over Valley. He has five goals and eight assists in 14 games during his first full season in the EOJHL.

Second Star: ’02 Nolan McGregor, Arnprior Packers (5G / 3A)

McGregor, 20, continues to stay hot by collecting five goals and three assists in two wins over Brockville and Athens. The Braeside, Ontario native has 16 goals, to go along with 20 assists and 36 points in 13 games during his final EOJHL season. He sits third in third on the team/league in scoring with 36 points. He would collect a hat trick in a dfour-point effort against Brockville on Remembrance Day against Brockville and then tallied two goals and two assists against Athens. Mcgregor is averaging 2.77 points per game and has five game winning goals, which sits first in the EOJHL.

Third Star: ’03 Tyler Cutts, Richmond Royals (2G / 4A)

Cutts, 19, collected two goals and four assists in two goals as Richmond went 1-1 during the week. The Kanata, Ontario native has had an unreal start to the season by collecting 11 goals, to go along with 12 assists and 23 points in 13 games. He added two assists against Ottawa West on November 10th in a 3-2 loss, but then collected 2G / 2A in a wild game against Casselman on November 13th in an 8-6 win. He is on a four game point streak with four goals and seven assists.
