Ottawa, Ontario – Just two games in the CCHL2 yesterday. First, the Alexandria Glens defeated the Embrun Panthers and second, the Ottawa West Golden Knights held onto a 4-2 win over the Athens Aeros.

Depsite being outshot 40-30, the Glens moved six points ahead of the Char-Lan Rebels for fourth with the win. Alexandria was trailing 3-2 early in the third period, and scored three unanswered goals to win. Hunter MacPherson tied it and Reggy St-Surin won it with under four minutes left in regulation.
Mathieu Parent finished with 1G/1A and Brennan Nadeau made 37-saves on 40-shots for their 21st win this season. Alexandria has won two straight games.
Marc Brosseau scored 2G/1A in the loss. Embrun lost three straight games.

The Ottawa West Golden Knights scored three unanswered goals in the first and held onto their 26th win of the season. Miguel Daoust made 22-saves for his 11th win of the season. Michael Gallivan scored twice and Nolan Marshall had 1G/2A.
Owen Webster scored the Athens Aeros two goals in the third period to make the game close. 15-year-old Emerson Hunt made his final start with Athens – making 24-saves in the loss.
Ottawa West has won two-straight games and six of their last seven, with their only loss during this stretch coming to OJC. Athens drops their second straight game. They are 1-1-1 in February and are eight points out of the fifth and final playoff spot in the Richardson Division with seven games left to play.
