Thursday/Friday Recap | Six Games

Ottawa, Ontario – On Thursday November 4th, we witness three games with Embrun on the road to play Casselman, Ottawa West hosting Alexandria and Smiths Falls vs Whitewater. There were another three games on Friday November 5th where Embrun host Ottawa West, OJC took on Winchester and Arnprior was on the road taking on Perth.

Thursday: Alexandria 5, Ottawa West 3

The Alexandria did the unthinkable once again by defeating the Golden Knights for their second consecutive win. In a nine minute penalty kill for Alexandria, Jack Hill and Jacob Seguin collect shorthanded goals. Hill picks up the game winner for the second consecutive game. The Glens also had Evan Cuddihy and Tyler Hunter scoring their first EOJHL goal. Yanik Major had 1G / 1A. Jason Van Wieran made 46 saves for his second win this season. The Glens also went 2-for-3 on the power play.

Cater, Baldwin and Tardioli had goals in the Golden Knights loss. They went 1-for-8 on the power play and outshot Alexandria 49-19.

Thursday: Embrun 2, Casselman 1 OT

It was a tight contest between these two teams in the third of six meetings on the season. Charlie Belanger scores the overtime winner to give Embrun the win. Belanger’s goal came just 1:28 in the extra frame. Marshall Drevniok scores his first goal this season and Foley made 39 saves.

Marc-Olivier McCarthy collects Casselman’s only goal as they pick up a points. Racine made 37 saves in the OT loss. Shots were 40-39 for Casselman.

Thursday: Smiths Falls 5, Whitewater 0

Matthew Saari made 14 saves for his first career EOJHL shutout. Jack Chiarello had two goals for three points while Conroy and Craig had multi-point games with 1G / 1A. The other goal scorer for Smiths Falls was Tyson parker, who collects his sixth of the year. The Jr. Bears collect their fourth straight victory.

Isaac Wilson made 58 saves for Whitewater in the loss. Smiths Falls outshot Whitewater 63-14.

Friday: Perth 2, Arnprior 1

It was a tight affair in the second meeting this season between the top two teams in the Richardson Division. Ben Anderson would collect the game winner late in the second by scoring his eighth of the year. Lleyton McLean got the games first goal in the first period in the win. McEwan made 29 saves in the win.

Reid Greer had Arnprior’s only goal in the loss. Jett Miller made 32 saves. Shots were 34-30 for Perth.

Friday: Ottawa West 4, Embrun 2

The Golden Knights were able to bounce back from a loss on Thursday and pick up their second win over Embrun this season. Marco Peloso scores his first two goals with Ottawa West while Sean ireland had a three point game with 1G / 2A. Kaleb Ellard scores his third of the year shorthanded. Jordan provost was excellent in between the pipes by making 46 saves. The Golden Knights went 1-for-6 on the power play.

Ethan Queale and Charlie Belanger had goals for Embrun. Foley made 30 saves. Embrun outshot Ottawa West 48-34.

Friday: Winchester 5, Ottawa 2

The Hawks collect their fourth consecutive victory by defeating Ottawa for the first time this season. Ric Shin and Lucas Leblanc each led the way with two goials whule Kyle Filion collects 1G / 2A for three points. Daniel Beauchemin added two assists. Xavier Dusablon made 33 saves for his fourth win this season. The Hawks went 2-for-4 on the power play.

Patrick Larkin and Liam Hunter had goals for Ottawa. Felix Schnell made 32 saves. OJC went 1-for-4 on the power play. Shots were 37-35 for Winchester.
