UPDATE | EOJHL to resume the regular season on January 6th 2022

Ottawa, Ontario – In light of the provincial announcement, the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announced that we will be resuming the regular season on January 6th 2022. On December 17th 2021, the EOJHL announced that the Board of Governors unanimously agreed to suspend operations until the new year. Games between December 17th 2021 to January 5th 2022 will be rescheduled in 2022.

EOJHL Commissioner Marc Franche and Director of Hockey operations Rebecca Dow met with all the owners today and they’re looking forward to get back to play. As of Friday Dec 31st 2021 at 12:01am, fan capacity will be reduced to 50% for all sporting events.

“Our board of governors is committed to delivering a full season to it’s players and fans by following provincial health guidelines. This couldn’t have happened if the league was not fully vaccinated.” said Franche on return to play.

As a result of resuming the season on January 6th, the EOJHL season that was originally supposed to end on February 20th will be pushed back by one week. The season will finish by the end of February.
