February 13/26 | Richmond Shuts Out Perth, Arnprior Explodes for Eight, Embrun Storms Back to Tighten Martin Race

Ottawa, ON – Friday night in the EOJHL featured three pivotal matchups with major playoff implications. Richmond blanked Perth, Arnprior continued its dominant Richardson Division run with an eight-goal performance in Renfrew, and Embrun mounted a third-period comeback to defeat Glengarry, pulling within one point of the final two playoff spots in the Martin Division.

Richmond 4, Perth 0

Richmond strengthened its playoff positioning with a convincing 4–0 road victory.

The Royals opened the scoring midway through the first period when Avery Schoenhofen netted his first of the season off a setup from Daniel Sciarra. Richmond doubled its lead in the second as Cooper Moore finished a passing play from Sciarra and Owen Coady.

Nicholas Milbury then took over late in the period, scoring twice — first finishing a feed from Jacob Warnes and Dylan Cutts at even strength, then striking again on the power play off another Warnes-to-Cutts connection to make it 4–0.

That was more than enough support for Sam Nolan, who turned aside all 34 shots he faced for the shutout.

Richmond improves to 21-20-0-3, while Perth drops to 14-26-1-2 and is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

Arnprior 8, Renfrew 3

Arnprior flexed its offensive depth once again, pouring in eight goals in a dominant road win over Renfrew.

The Packers wasted no time, striking twice in the opening five minutes as Carter Downs opened the scoring and Rowan Casey followed shortly after off assists from Andrew Mark and Brendan Lynch. After Renfrew cut into the lead with a Preston Charron goal, Arnprior responded with three more first-period markers from Cameron Sheppard, Tyler Bell on the power play, and Rowan Casey again in the second to build full control.

Arnprior continued its surge in the third. Andrew Mark scored shorthanded just 27 seconds into the period, Brendan Lynch added another, and Devin McCarthy capped the effort with a late goal off assists from Tyler Bell and Carter Scott.

Cole King made 35 saves in the victory as Arnprior improved to 32-9-0-0. Renfrew falls to 20-19-3-2.

Embrun 3, Glengarry 2

Embrun delivered one of its most important wins of the season, rallying from a two-goal deficit to defeat Glengarry 3–2 and tighten the Martin Division playoff race.

Glengarry controlled the early stages, opening the scoring in the first when Zach Boltz converted a feed from A.J. Alejandrino and Simon Gibeault. The Brigade extended the lead in the second on a Brady Bell goal assisted by Joshua Baker.

Trailing 2–0 entering the third, Embrun surged. Yanick Blanchard got the Panthers on the board midway through the period on the power play, finishing a setup from Andrew Lankester and Camden Cunningham-Fetch. Just over a minute later, Enrick Girard tied the game off assists from Justin Raymond and Remi Gendron.

With momentum fully shifted, Xavier Boulanger completed the comeback on the power play at 15:06, wiring home the eventual game-winner with Raymond and Gendron again providing the assists.

Jake Dignard stopped 32 of 34 shots in the victory.

Embrun improves to 11-19-7-5, now just one point behind Glengarry and Winchester for the final two Martin Division playoff spots. Glengarry falls to 15-22-3-2.
