RELEASE | Week 2 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announced its Week 2 Stars of the Week. The first star goes to Athens Aeros veteran Andrew Sprague, second star was Arnprior Packers forward Nolan McGregor and finally, the third star went to Ottawa West forward Sean Ireland.

First Star: ’02 Andrew Sprague, Athens Aeros (4G / 4A)

Sprague, 20, is in his second and final season with the Athens Aeros. The Kingston, Ontario native collected four goals and four assists foe eight points in two games during week 2 of the EOJHL season. He had two goals and four points against Valley and Brockville. Sprague is sitting tied for 3rd in the EOJHL with 10 goals. He is on a four game point streak to start this season with five goals and five assists.

Second Star: ’02 Nolan McGregor, Arnprior Packers (3G / 3A)

Mcgregor, 20, is in his finals season in the EOJHL as a 20 year old. The Braeside, Ontario native had two assists against Carleton Place on October 7th and then had a hat trick in his four point performance against Whitewater. He has has five goals and eight assists in three games with the Packers. He is coming off a great season by collecting 39 points in 26 games.

Third Star: ’03 Sean Ireland, Ottawa West Golden Knights (5G / 1A)

Ireland, 20, is in his second full season in the league, but this time as a member of the Ottawa West Golden Knights. Last year with Carleton Place, he had 23 goals and 46 points in 36 games and also had eight points in 11 playoff games. The Almonte, Ontario native had an impressive week by scoring four goals in a 8-4 victory over Char-Lan, and then had a goal in a 4-1 win over Alexandria. As a result of a great week, he has five goals, three assists and eight points in five games.
